Question:

I currently own a blog on wordpress. I am looking forward to moving it to a free host.
I would like to know which is the best of free web host for hosting wordpress blog?
No matter if displays ad’s but it should not have much downtime.
Also some decent space. So suggest me the best web host for wordpress blog.

Answer:

You already have free on WordPress.com so I have to ask, why do you want to move your blog to another free spot?  Is it because of the limitations WordPress.com places on you like not enough space?  Or is it because you can’t upload your own themes and plug-ins, and can’t monetize your blog so you want to run the full version of WordPress?

You say you want decent space and not much downtime.  Someone has to pay for all of that goodness and you want it for free?  Do you go over to your neighbors’ house and expect them to feed you at dinner time because they have an extra chair?

I can get you free hosting, but you have to buy a domain name to get that free hosting.  Click here for DotEasy.

Or, I can get you a free domain name, but you have to buy some cheap hosting.  Click here for WebHostingPad.

FYI:  Using the words “best free web hosting” and “WordPress” in the same sentence is a oxymoron.  With the exception of DotEasy, which is actually a decent company, those free web hosting outfits put you on old, slow servers, not the new fast ones.  That’s why they do it for free.  However, they come with no support.  So if you have a problem, there’s no one to contact.  They won’t answer your pleas for help no matter how much you beg.  In fact, they may also be free in an attempt to get you to upgrade to a paid account and if you don’t do it within a few months, they’ll delete your account.  There goes all your hard work.  It’s happened to me and to many others.  I couldn’t even find out why it was deleted because I had a free hosting account and free means no support, period!

If you really value you WordPress.com blog so much that you’re willing to go the extra mile to move it to a real web hosting plan where WordPress run super fast, then I have to recommend WebHostingHub.  I have a Hub account and no other host comes close to matching the speed at which my blogs run.  They use cPanel control panel.  They’ve also got an A+ rating with the BBB.

If you want something a tab bit cheaper, but still with decent service, then click there for iPage.  They have an easy to use control panel and awesome customer service.
