iPage for WordPress

What would be some good web host for a wordpress blog?
I have ipage.com right now, but is this any good for blog?

What about one.com? any good?

Answer:

one.com looks like a reseller.  That means paltry features for a lot of money.  You can get unlimited hosting accounts for cheap so why would you want to have those types on constraints?  Look at the tiny size of those accounts.  Plus, you are forced to buy a domain name from them for over $13, but do you get free privacy protection for that?  Or, if you already have a domain name, they are charging you a transfer fee.   Why?  What are they transferring?  DO NOT TRANSFER YOUR DOMAIN NAME REGISTRAR TO THEM!!!!  And if they’re talking about transferring your hosting, they should not be charging a fee for that.  You can change your DNS nameservers by yourself to have your name point to their hosting.  The whole thing stinks.  I wouldn’t advise it at all.

iPage is great for a WordPress blog.  Log into your iPage control panel, go to the Scripts and Addons section.  Click on SimpleScripts.  You’ll find WordPress in there.  Just tell it where you want to install it, give it a username, password, email and off you go.  You can choose to enter a title and description, but that’s optional and can always be changed later in the Dashboard in Settings: General.
