Web hosting/domain/e-mail question
Question:
So I am starting my own business and I need to find a web hosting service that offers an e-mail (can be only one) and domain name included. My business is small so I don’t need anything fancy, but it does need to look professional. I can create the website so I don’t need some type of creator. I have heard of go daddy and 1and1, then I checked and something called ipage and hostmonster were rated #1. who should I go with and where would I get the most for my money?
Answer:
Both HostMonster and iPage would be at the top of my list and will give you the most for your money. Both of them are having some pretty deeply discounted sales right now (iPage is the cheapest) and both have a free domain name offer. You’ll get unlimited hosting space, bandwidth, email, databases and more. You’ll also be able to host unlimited domain names on a single account. I personally wouldn’t even mess around with the others, but I urge you to compare because there are some pretty huge differences. iPage has an anytime money back guarantee. They’ll refund your unused hosting fees no matter how many months you are into your plan. None of the others have that. Both providers use the SimpleScripts script installer, so you’ll have all kinds of free applications available for installation.
goDaddy and 1 and 1 have some restrictions on their plans, so be aware of them. If you want to install WordPress or any other applications from their script installers, let it be known that each installation requires a database. Both of those providers have a database limit. I know the GoDaddy control panel is not an easy one to figure out. I don’t have personal experience with the 1&1 control panel and I didn’t see a demo.
