Web hosting, who is better with service and down time?
Question: Of these two, which web hosting company has better service with little down time? webhostingpad is only $ 1.99 a month but you have to buy 3 years service. ipage is much cheaper. So which company has the best overall service or does in matter?
Answer:
Actually, you have to buy either 4 or 5 years of service to get it for $1.99. I had two webhostingpad accounts and the guys are total rip-off artists. They still owe me over $2500 in commissions. The downtime I had with them was unacceptable and the servers are overcrowded and slow. Do NOT use them. Even their home page is slow. Never trust a web hosting company who can’t even optimize their own site.
iPage is all the way better. While I no longer have an account with them, their service was outstanding and always friendly when I contacted them. I didn’t experience any downtime that I remember, but be aware that all hosting companies have little burps and scheduled maintenance where there will be very short periods of downtime.
iPage does NOT monitor inodes. Most web hosting plans give you unlimited hosting space, but they limit how many files you have have on your account. I contacted them myself and straight up asked them about their limits and they said they don’t have any. You can read here about inodes.
They use the vDeck control panel. Some people like that because it’s less geeky than cPanel. You can read about the iPage control panel here.
