Tech Support sees things I don’t. I can’t see my website.

Question:

I own the domain teklys.com, and when I speak to tech support, they claim that they can see the updated website every time I change it using FTP, but when I go to it on my browser, I see the goDaddy page with ads. When I go to teklyscom.ipage.com, the sidebar on the left is blank, yet tech support says that it is full with things (which it should be). When I go to www.teklys.com, I see a Google Error (404), yet tech support says they see the same thing as at the naked domain (teklys.com). I have cleared the cookies and cache, and tried it on two different computers with two different browsers, with the same results. Could someone confirm this for me, and check to see what the URLs contain? Thanks.

Answer:

This happened to me once at another host and clearing the cache did not work, either.  Turns out I was using a plugin on some of my WordPress blogs and it had a problem connecting to a website and was causing major CPU usage.  Because it was hogging server resources, it automatically blocked my IP address.  I called tech support they said I needed to fix the issue.  So I disabled the plugin, called them back and they released the IP block.  Then I was able to see my sites.

Check your error logs for a trail of what might be happening.
