Point goDaddy Name to HostGator

Question:

How can I set up my domain that I purchased at GoDaddy.com to work with hosting I purchased at HostGator.com?  I just purchased both of these, how can I set them up to work together?

Answer:

This is easy.

1. Login to your GD control panel.
2. In the menu bar, click on Domains:  Domain Management
3. Click on your domain name.
4. Click on Set Nameservers link
5. Change the nameservers to ns1.hostgator.com and ns2.hostgator.com

That’s all there is to it.  It will take anywhere from 20 min to a couple of hours for the change to resolve.  Once it resolves, you can publish your website.
