Please help with footers a WordPress site

Question:

I have installed the default Twenty Ten WordPress blog and was able to alter it a bit but in the footer on the right hand side are links that says -

“Proudly powered by WordPress” “Install WordPress web hosting”. They are links that I don’t want on my blog. How do I change them to links that I actually want to use there, or even delete them altogether? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer:

You are given permission to use that template as long as the links and copyright stay in place.

Why not make your own WordPress theme so you can do whatever you like to it? Twenty Ten is such an easy theme to duplicate. There is a program called Artisteer. It’s a CMS, blog and website builder all in one. I’ve been using it for about 3 years now to make my themes. It’s got gobs of widgetized areas that you can stick stuff in besides the normal sidebars, including custom multi-column footers.
