Question:

I’m looking for a place to host my application.  It’s not a standard “web hosting”, but I have a program that I need to run 24/7 – connected to the internet of course and all the shabang.

My program runs on XP64bit (not supporting server environments so far) and it needs to be on a dedicated managed server/computer which I can install any program I want (my program is actually several programs running together). Of course I need to be able to remote desktop to the computer and transfer files onto it, it needs to be secured, fast and reliable.

Oh yeah, I’m on a budget….ANY IDEAS WHERE TO START?  I tried looking in google and similar, but all full of ads and I don’t know what to pick.  HELP PLEASE

What you need is a dedicated server with full management from HostGator.  They’ll keep the server updated and secure from hackers.  They’ve got different plans to choose from running either Linux or Windows.  A dedicated server means you’ll have a higher level of security, speed, uptime and resources than from shared hosting environment.
