Can you host multiple websites?
Question: My friend and I both wish to host websites with entirely different premises and whatnot, but we’re a little strapped for cash. We’ve found that iPage offers unlimited domains, unlimited space and whatnot, and at $ 4.50 a month, it’s a good price. Since it offers multiple domains, can we host two websites on the same plan in an effort to save money?
Answer:
Yes, you can do that, but there’s good news. iPage is currently having a sale for only $3.50/month!
Your friend should be aware that if you don’t pay your renewal fees when the time comes, he’ll lose his site unless he transfers it to his own account.
When you purchase your iPage account, the domain name you use to sign up with will be the primary domain on the account. All the files you publish for that site will be placed into the root of the account.
When you want to add another domain to it:

- Point the DNS name servers to ns1.ipage.com and ns2.ipage.com

The when you look at the folders in your root directory, you’ll see you files and now a new folder for your friend’s domain. His web hosting files will go into his folder.
FYI: Did you know that even though most web hosting plans give you unlimited hosting space, then limit the number of files you can host on the account? Those files are called inodes. So here’s some more good news for you. iPage does NOT meter those files. I contacted them many weeks ago and personally asked them. They straight up said, “There are no inode limits on our accounts.” WooHoo!
