Just joined JustHost.com now how do I start making my website?

Question:

signed up at justhost.com and want to start making my website. how do I start? what would be easiest way? I got book for html xhtml css and javascript i will be reading as I make website just want to know where to start? should i use joomla? dreamweaver? or one of the other ones that comes with it like rvsite builder or w.e?

Answer:

Don’t even bother buying books and learning HTML and all that coding stuff unless you plan on making web development a career. There are so many easier ways to build a site without writing a single line of code. HTML and CSS is only one part of building a website. The other part is doing the design, the layout part. A lot of people don’t have the imagination to do it. It’s like a carpenter pounding nails to build a house. Yes, you can learn how to do that, but a carpenter is not the architect who draws up the plans. When you build a website you have to be both the architect and the carpenter. With the money you’ll spend on books, you could buy a decent website publishing program that already does both.

RVSiteBuilder is an option, but you’re stuck with their templates. Better yet, just install WordPress or Joomla from cPanel. You’ll have tons of free themes to install. I use WordPress to build my sites and I make my own themes with Artisteer. It also makes Joomla templates.
