Is there such thing as a free or very cheap private registration service for domain names?
Question:
Private registration costs too much if you want to apply privacy to a large portfolio of domain names. Is there a solution? The registrar that I use charges $ 9.95 a year per domain name. I have close to 200 domain names. It costs me a lot to renew my domain names already. I don’t want to be paying so much for privacy too.
By the way, I use goDaddy, their private registration is too expensive. Sometimes they have deals, but not too often. Usually privacy will cost just as much as registering a new domain name. So, I’m ruling out GoDaddy for privacy.
Answer:
GoDaddy’s domain names are TOO high and so is their private registration. Plus, you can’t turn it off and then back on if you need to because it cancels it. There is another option…
I discuss this very thing on another post. Click here see how godaddy fails miserably when compared to NameCheap. You’ll not only find a price comparison table, but COMPLETE instructions on how to transfer all of your domain names from GoDaddy to NameCheap. I am very proud to say I no longer have ANY domain names at GoDaddy.
Name Cheap Coupon Codes
Be sure to take advantage of the NameCheap coupon codes on those pages to do your transfers. The codes will work on every single one of them, all month long and as many times as you need them. You’ll get FREE privacy protection for the first year and it’s only $2.88/yr after that. You can even buy privacy in bulk to get a cheaper rate. Screw godaddy.
