iPage – Building Your Website

Question: I have iPage.. how do I make an HTML site?  May sound like a stupid question.  I’m not a pro, but I learn quickly.  What’s the best way to go about making a website on iPage?  I’m not sure how to get started.

Answer:

There are several ways to build a website with iPage.

• The best way is to learn HTML and CSS and do it by hand with a text editor.
• Or, log into your iPage control panel and check out the website builders.
• Also check in the SimpleScripts software installer in the control panel.  There are some in there.
• Use a program like Adobe Dreamweaver, Microsoft Expressions (you’ll need to enable FrontPage extensions on the server), XSitePro, Web Easy 8 or another website builder/publisher.
• My favorite way is to not do any coding at all.  I just install WordPress.  It’s so much more than a blogging platform.  I use it to build all my sites.  I also use a program called Artisteer to make my own themes.
