How is HostMonster as a web hosting company?

I’m getting ready to sign up with a hosting company and am looking for a good one to work with. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Answer:

“Good web hosting” is both subjective and relative.  HostMonster is a “good hosting company”, but without knowing what you’re going to be doing, it’s a little hard to definitively say that it’s “the” best choice for you.  If you’re a savvy techie, then you’ll love the HM’s cPanel control panel with all the best webmaster tools.  BlueHost is exactly the same as HostMonster (same company).  I have a BlueHost control panel review that you can look at.  (I have an account with them.)  The HM control panel is exactly like that.

If all you want is a website and/or a blog, then iPage is way more than adequate.  Here’s a iPage control panel review so you can see what’s under the hood.
