How do I transfer domain name ownership to someone else?

I purchased this domain name last year to use in a project, and I don’t need it anymore, and someone offered to buy it from me.

Now, What is the right way to transfer this domains ownership to him so my my personal information and my billing information wouldn’t be associated with the domain??

Who is your registrar? Some registrars allow you to push the domain to another user. I know NameCheap does this. If you feel there’s a chance you’re going to get ripped off, I might want to consider using an escrow account. It’s not free, but it’s an option. I have never used one, nor do I get paid to refer people to them, but Escrow.com is an option.
