Buying Multiple Domain Names

Question:

It is unclear to me what you have to do in order to buy a domain name. Could someone give me the steps needed to purchase multiple domain names? Possibly using this site as an example – http://www.bluehost.com/

At this point I’m not sure if I have to pay a monthly fee for an account on top of a yearly fee for the domains?

Answer:

BlueHost is great for web hosting, but don’t buy domain names from a web hosting company because you’ll pay way too much for them AND be stuck with the registrar that they use.

I use NameCheap for all of my domain names.  Click that link for a coupon code.  You can use the code all month long and on all of the domains you buy.  Each month I post a new code.  Plus, they’ll give you free privacy protection so when people do a “whois” on your domain name, you’re name, address, phone number and email won’t be exposed.  Spammers love harvesting that information.
