How can I tell which Adsense ads are being clicked on my sites with Google Adsense?

Question:

I have a few blogs and they all have Google Adsense ads on them… I am making a few bucks each day and I want to know which site is generating those clicks so I can see what I need to improve. I have about 9 ads total (3 for each site) but can’t figure out how to get the detailed information I need on which site is getting the most clicks, etc. Thanks!

Answer:

You need to create channels for them. Here’s how I create new ads. You can also edit your existing ads.

  1. I name my ads using my domain name + the ad size like this: JoeysBlueWidgets 366×280
  2. Then I create a channel using the same domain name and assign the channel to the ad. I used to create a channel for each ad, but there’s a limit to how many you can have and I ran out years ago. So now I just create a channel for each domain. I’m not into analysis paralysis, but it’s up to you. If you want to know specifically which ad is being clicked, then you’ll need to create a channel for each ad.
  3. Then when my ads get clicked, I know which site is generating them.

How are your ads doing? Does your content bring in some high paying clicks? There’s an excellent course I bought some time ago. Best darn niche market course ever. It REALLY increased my AdSense earnings. If you want a check from Google every month, then click here to see it on AffiliatesBestFriend.
