My friend used a host gator coupon. Basically she said the first month was only 1 cent with that code. Anyone have experience with Host Gator? I read reviews and it’s supposed to be one of the best.

HostGator IS one of the best hosting companies.  They have an A+ BBB rating to prove it.

However, the 1 cent coupon deal is not a good deal.  As you said, you only get 1 cent off the first month of hosting and if hosting is say, $6.95 a month, you only get $6.95 off the deal.

But if you use a 25% off coupon like HGFOR25LESS and hosting is $6.95 a month which is $83.40 a year, 25% of that is $20.80.  $20.80 off is significantly more than $6.95.
