GoDaddy – Get .Info Domain Names for $1.99

Question:

.Info domain names on goDaddy say they’re “$ 1.99*” but nothing else, some say “/yr” next to them, clearly indicating that it’s a yearly fee. So is the $ 1.99 price yearly, monthly, one-time purchase?

Domain name pricing is always by the year, never, EVER by the month. That’s for the 1st year and then they jack up the price after that.

I prefer to use NameCheap for my names because they are cheaper and they have free privacy protection for the 1st year and it’s only $2.88/yr after that. GoDaddy wants $9.99/yr for privacy.
