Question:

On DotEasy you have to pay for your domain on a yearly basis… but they have a plan that says the actual hosting is free? “$0 Web Hosting”… I realize this would be fairly basic, but how reliable and good is it? Is it free for only your first year or free forever as long as you pay for your domain?

Answer:

At DotEasy, a basic hosting plan is free if you buy a domain name from them. It’s free as long as you keep renewing your domain name year after year. That’s a real domain name, not some sub-directory name. They use cPanel control panel. That’s always a good thing. If at any time you need more hosting space, you can always upgrade to unlimited hosting.

Unlike a lot of other free web hosting plans, they give you free FTP access, too. Oh, and NO BANNER ADS on your site!
