Can anyone recommend any good website hosting service?
Good Web Hosting
Question:
I am currently dealing with goDaddy, but now want to try some other companies. Did anyone personally had good experience with someone else? I also found FatCow but it’s a bit alarming that they are operating under so many names like justhost etc. I need Linux hosting. Can anyone recommend any good website hosting service? Anything other than GoDaddy or FatCow clone?
Answer:
FatCow is not operating under so many names like JustHost. There are a bunch of web hosting companies that were independent and then later on acquired by a big company called the The Endurance International Group, Inc. So Endurance owns FC and JH and a bunch of other hosts.
With that being said, I can suggest a few that I use that don’t give me any problems. All of these have unlimited hosting space and bandwidth, free domain names and a ton of other unlimited features. First, let me say this. There are a but of web hosting reviews sites that just copy and paste feature lists onto their sites and call that a review. What works well for one type of website, may no be well suited for another so I took a different approach. I have studied each company and listed their strong points. WebHostingHub – I like this one the best for WordPress blogs. They use cPanel control panel with the Fantastico script installer. If you’ll be using WordPress, this is the best one on the list. I have a Hub account.
BlueHost – This one uses cPanel with the SimpleScripts script installer. Their version of cPanel has more tools geared towards developers and webmasters who like complete control over their accounts.
iPage – They use vDeck with SimpleScripts. Some people just want to build a website or blog and don’t care about all the geeky technical stuff. Then this is an excellent choice.
WebHostingPad – Extremely low cost plans with a guaranteed price lock. They use cPanel and the Sofaculous script installer. It has the most scripts out of any installer. They also have a new VPS hosting plan for sites that need more power.

WebHostingPad - Plans as low as $1.99/mo with NO price increase on renewal
