BlueHost vs JustHost – Which is Better?

Share

Question:  Which web hosting is better BlueHost or JustHost? What’s your experience with them?

Answer:  I have experience with both and I would pick BlueHost over JustHost in a heartbeat.

Back in the day, JH used to be good.  Both SuperGreen and HostClear are also part of the JH group.  I had a friend who had a JH account, while I went with the SG account because it was eco-friendly green hosting.  Over the course of 2011, JH’s service really began to decline with unacceptable downtime and inaccessible email and my friend moved to HostGator.  Soon after SG started having the same type of problems.  I’d contact customer support and there was always some type of excuse, the last one being “server maintenance”, but it was for like 3-4 days in a row.

Splitting Up Websites

I had enough and realized that it wasn’t a good thing to have all of my sites on one web hosting account because if there are problems, they all are affected.  So I split up my sites between WebHostingHub and BlueHost.  The Hub is a little cheaper, but I like both, especially how fast my WordPress blogs run on my Hub account.  Both use cPanel, but BlueHost has more tools in the control panel for developers that other hosts don’t.

SuperGreen Will Be No More

The other day I got an email that they will no longer be offering SuperGreen plans and that everything will now be JustHost.  So maybe management had an epiphany and realized they could run things better (God only hopes) under one company.
