BlueHost Domain Problems
Question:
I have a bluehost account I registered an hour ago today. And I can’t upload any of my files. When I go to my subdomains and try to load a subdomain, it just sticks on: loading files. And it wont let me do ANYTHING! I also think I mind cancel my account, but I don’t know how. Does anyone know a better site hosting service?
Answer:
You don’t need a better site hosting service. BlueHost IS one of the best. You just need to fix what you’re doing wrong. Don’t blame your inexperience on the host. BTW, you “might cancel”, not “mind cancel”.
You’re not giving enough information. First off, you should be contacting BlueHost support. Where did you get your domain name from? Did you register it on your own or did you get a free name from BH? If you registered it on your own, did you change the nameservers to point to the BH servers?
Subdomains? A subdomain is a folder within a main domain, but it acts as if it were a separate domain. Here are examples of subdomains: blog.yourdomain.com, members.yourdomain.com, support.yourdomain.com. Is that what you’re doing?
When “…I go to my subdomains…” how are you “going there”? Are you using FTP or using the File Manager? And since you just got the account, what kind of files are you trying to upload already? Did you have a site already built?
Dude, contact BlueHost support. They’re really good.
