Can someone explain this to me. I have a domain and hosting through powweb and joomla comes with the powweb package. What is exactly joomla’s purpose? Do you use joomla to design the website? Or do you design the website then manage the content through joomla? Thanks

Joomla is a content management system (CMS). Instead of building a regular website, you go into your PowWeb control panel to the SimpleScripts script installer. In the CMS section, you’ll find the Joomla installer.
There are 3 parts to Joomla, the theme (template), the content which is stored in a MySQL database and the Joomla program which dynamically fetches the content from the database and displays it in the theme to render a web page. You can get some beginner Joomla help here.
