If you’ve never heard of a link wheel before, don’t worry. It’s not difficult to understand or implement. It is simply a group of six articles that are used to create backlinks to another article or webpage. The target webpage is one that you want to rank higher in the search engines. When you are building your link wheel, you will have an article or webpage at the center of the wheel that is the target of your link building efforts. This is the page you want to rank well in the search engines. Now imagine there are six spokes coming out from the center article. These spokes each have another article at the end of them. Each of these articles links back to the center article and also to the next article along the outside of the wheel.

If this is confusing, try drawing it out on a piece of paper. Put a dot in the middle to represent the webpage you want to promote, and then draw six lines going out from it. These are the spokes. Number the ends of the spokes from one to six. These are the six articles that will link to the main page. Now draw arrows from number one to two, two to three, and so on.
